Sara Weinshenk, Step-by-step guide on how to roll a joint

A step-by-step guide on how to roll a joint.

If you’ve had trouble rolling joints in the past, sometimes all it takes is going back to the basics and starting over with a step-by-step guide.

That’s exactly where Los Angeles comedian, writer, and cannabis smoker extraordinaire Sara Weinshenk comes in. With years of experience under her belt, Sara takes you through her process of rolling a joint to help get you toking in no time.

Follow the steps, get blazed. Simple as that.

How to roll a joint, featuring Sara Weinshenk:

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Rolling papers
  • Grinder
  • Weed
  • Filter
  • Lighter
  • Pen
  • Tray

And before you start, Sara suggests grinding up a salad, mixing together the Sherbinskis Acaiberry Gelato and Wonderbrett’s Strawberry Bliss in her grinder together. But regardless of what flower you use, get your tray and space ready.

Let’s do this.

Step 1: Grind up the weed. Make sure it isn’t a powder. Once you’re finished, dump it into your tray.

Step 2: Make the filter. Fold the crutch paper backward and forward like an accordion and then roll it towards you.

Nobody likes a loose filter, it makes things weird for everybody.

Next, put your filter into the paper and fill it with weed.

Step 3: Roll your joint.

Rub your index finger and thumbs together between the paper and the weed to roll the joint. Your index and thumbs are truly the stars of the show.

Fold the non-glue side around the filter and get ready to lick.

Step 4: Lick.

Be warned: Do not lick too much. You run the risk of making the whole group uncomfortable. Nobody wants a wet, sloppy joint.

Lick the paper and bring the bottom of the paper together with the top of it and tuck it down.

Pack down the weed from the open end with your pen and tie it off. Then you’re ready for

Step Five: Smoke.

And there you have it.
